to the Plowden Web Site! We're happy to have you "amongst us". The "Plowdens"
go back to around the 1100's in England. We have several resources on this website
that will address our complete lineage in more detail. As you will see here, there
are several "Plowden branches" in our family tree. However, this site is
primarily directed to "The Descendents of Edward Plowden I", who
was the first Plowden to settle in South Carolina.
Since
genealogical "fact
finding" crosses many families and touches many people, we believe that it should
be a "many member" process. Please make yourself at home here and discover
some of the resources and printed materials that members of our family have generated
