A number of things must "fall together" to pull off our bi-annual reunion! (1) The scheduling of our venue. 2) The updating of mailing address information of members (we normally get back 40 pieces due to bad addresses). 3) The design and printing of mail pieces to get the information out. 4) The transference of mailing address information onto mailing labels. 5) The application of the labels to the previously printed mailers 6) Attaching stamps to each mail piece.
Unfortunately this year to due to a communication problem we had a "mix-up" on the scheduling of our location and consequently we got started late. Then we had "technical problems" in updating our mailing information on our computer as well as doing so on our website since these files were stored on an "old computer" that were for a time (until fixed) not compatible with our current software. As our original meeting date (June 12th) came close it was once thought that perhaps our event could be moved back until June 26th and we took initial steps to make that happen. But after further communications between our officers we felt that a good number of families may have already made plans for that weekend and we were concerned about the number of people who could actually attend if we went forward.
So it is with great regret that we have decided to NOT have a reunion in 2010 but will re-focus our efforts to getting together again in 2012. Detailed information will be sent in a timely fashion notifying you of the date and location for that event.
We DO intend to take action to update/revamp much of the information on our website. Please come back frequently to see our progress.
